The apple company is the epitome of modern. Not only do their devices offer sleek and modern designs, but their webpage does too. While the theme of the webpage is a monotonous black and white color scheme, the website portrays products in vibrant and beautiful colors to entice potential customers to purchase their products. This is a clever marketing scheme and judging by the company’s success, it must work. The layout of the site is simple and the homepage consists mostly of advertisements for their products and services. I found this website interesting because Apple has a way of keeping things simple yet modern and I thought their website would offer the same aesthetic and it did not disappoint.

Review:
Netflix is a popular streaming service enjoyed by millions of people worldwide. When Netflix is brought up, people are usually referring to the app although the website came first. This website sports a dark theme consisting of primarily black, white and red. This lightly colored text on the dark background creates a bold contrast that pleasant to the eye. Personally speaking, I have a preference for dark themes over light themes so perhaps that is what drove me to pick this website. Upon logging in, the homepage overs many shows and movies to the viewer and has an algorithm in place to help determine what kind of content the user may like to see based on the user’s previous viewing history. Overall, the page is very easy to navigate and overall has a very clean yet simple design.

Review:
Unlike the previous websites reviewed, this website is not one was I previously familiar with. Upon first entering the website the reader is greeted with vibrant art that serves as the background behind the title text. Both the title text and the background behind it alternate in order to promote multiple products, services and events this website offers. While the title area may be bold and vibrant, the rest of the website has a relatively plain design with dark text on a light background like most websites. This website makes up for it however thanks to the eye-catching artwork being advertised on the webpage. The background is simple as to not distract potential customers from the artwork and to show how vibrant some of the art is especially with a light background.

Link: Google Docs Review:Google docs is a very popular website that is used by almost everyone. This website allows its users to create complex documents and offers a variety of templates to decide from as well as the option to transfer foreign templates to google docs. Looking at this website as a web-design student makes me realize how much goes into the websites we use daily. The googledocs homepage consists of a bar at the top showcasing it's sister websites, googleslides, googlesheets, etc. Beneath the bar there is a large image of a couple sitting in the grass and the very first thing I noticed about it was the great photography. I'm sure there were many meetings at Google HQ about what picture they were going to use for the website. After the home page, the website's theme is very simple yet clean looking. Right away, one can tell this is a large corporation's website based on how well done it is. This websites offers a plethora of creative writing options and when I think about all the programming that went into this, it makes my head spin. I have only come to admire this site more since taking web-design.

Review:
Hungry Howies is a very successful chain of pizzerias with many locations in the U.S. I got the idea to review this website because this was my first time ordering online using this website. Unlike some of the previous websites I have reviewed, this site has a bold color scheme made up of pink, yellow, white and dark gray. Right away the bold colors capture visitors' attention and get them to look at the products. The homepage alone is chock full of different links from everything to breadsticks to job opportunities. This website is very pleasant to look at and this website showcases how to do a bold color scheme the right way.
